Meet Morgan
Morgan is a Licensed Graduate Marriage and Family Therapist (LGMFT) licensed by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. She received her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. She also received her BA in 2012 from the University of Pennsylvania. Although she sees clients with a variety of concerns, she has two main focus areas: couples and individuals with anxiety or OCD.
Morgan uses a combination of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She tries to make sure her clients come out of sessions with not just feelings of being heard and validated but also with practical ways of incorporating what was learned in session into their lives.

In my work with individuals, I specialize in managing anxiety and OCD, offering a holistic and integrative approach. Utilizing techniques from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), meditation, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), my goal is to help you understand the root causes of your anxiety and transform your relationship with your emotions. Together, we’ll identify patterns, unlock deeper self-awareness, and develop coping strategies that resonate with your personal experiences. For OCD in particular, I help you learn to endure discomfort and feel safe without performing compulsive rituals, whether it’s handwashing, checking the stove, counting, tapping, or other behaviors.
I believe in a therapy that adapts to you—one that acknowledges and respects your unique journey. Whether you’re dealing with stress, facing life transitions, or exploring aspects of your identity, our sessions will provide a safe and supportive space for self-discovery and growth. It’s not just about managing symptoms; it’s about empowering you to live a more fulfilling and balanced life.
My approach with couples involves Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a proven method for strengthening emotional bonds. I understand that each relationship has its own dynamics and challenges. In our sessions, we’ll explore not only surface-level conflicts but also the deeper emotional needs and patterns that drive those disagreements. By fostering emotional intimacy and understanding, I help couples move beyond cycles of conflict toward mutual understanding and renewed connection.
Recognizing that every couple’s journey is different, my therapy is tailored to your specific needs. Whether you’re navigating a rough patch, facing communication challenges, or seeking to deepen your bond, our work together will aim to establish a foundation of trust, empathy, and resilience. The goal is not just to resolve conflicts but to build a thriving relationship based on understanding, respect, and love.
I also work with individuals who wish to integrate faith into their therapeutic journey. For those who want to discuss religion, I am open to exploring topics like God, purpose, meaning, determinism, and free will. I understand that the struggle can be difficult, but I also believe the reward of closeness—whether with yourself, others, or your faith—can be profound.
I look forward to helping you on your journey toward a healthier, calmer life. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to schedule a free 15-minute consultation or intake session!
